HPA Print Media Expo and Luncheon

Once a year, the Hawaii Publishers Association and Hawaii’s Printers invite the Advertising, Marketing and Sales industry to meet and greet at the Print Media Day and Expo. This year’s free expo event was held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Waikiki Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Who Should Attend? Media and Print Buyers, Ad Agency and Marketing Executives, Publisher and Printer Industry Professionals. Print Media Expo offers a personalized event, geared toward helping Hawaii businesses make informed advertising and printing decisions.

HPA Pa’i Awards 

Hilton Hawaiian Village, Tapa Ballroom, Honolulu, Hawaii 

The annual HPA Pa’i Awards honors outstanding achievements in Hawaii publications.  An independent panel of mainland publishing experts judges the contest and gives awards for excellence in editorial content and graphics in numerous categories for newspapers, magazines and other publications.  The program is designed so there are categories for nearly all publications.

HPA High School Journalism Awards  April 23, 2008
  also known as the Hawaii State High School Newspaper Awards

HPA and the daily Hawaii newspapers co-sponsor the annual Hawaii High School Newspaper Awards contest to encourage local high school students to pursue careers in journalism. This program offers students tangible awards, peer and professional recognition, publicity and the opportunity to meet professionals in Hawaii publishing. HPA Hall of Fame Awards

The Hawaii Publishers Association Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Hawaii and the print media industry throughout their careers.  The Board of Directors selects inductees from nominations made by HPA members.
